In what way is your pc not doing the job?

When you have the itch and the funds, it is time to scratch that itch.

What is your budget?

Perhaps a 4k wide monitor?

I think you are relatively well balanced now with a 3900x and a 2080.

DDR5 is no big deal today, and probably not for the next generation.

Run your games, but reduce the resolution and settings.
If your fps increases, a graphics upgrade might be good.
If your fps stays the same, upgrading to ryzen 5000 series would be good.
Intel 12th gen would be even better.

4k gaming isn't that good.
Tried oc'ing and it's ok, but I rather not so parts don't get stressed,
Likely, you would need a 3080 or 3090 class graphics card to get good frame rates at 4k.
It all depends on the types of games you play.

Try this simple test:

a) Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
This makes the graphics card loaf a bit.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.
