I recently upgraded my pc graphics card to a GTX 3060 and am wondering why in certain games it struggles to reach a stable 60fps.

e.g. dying light 2 runs perfectly fine but the new Elden ring jumps around the 50fps margin.

My specs copied from speccy:

CPU
Intel Core i7 @ 2.50GHz 42 °C
Skylake Technology

RAM
16.0GB

Motherboard
Micro-Star International Co. Ltd. MAG B560M BAZOOKA (MS-7D18) (U3E1)

Graphics
VG245 (1920x1080@60Hz)
U34G2G4R3 (3440x1440@144Hz)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (EVGA) 54 °C

Storage
931GB Crucial CT1000MX500SSD1 (SATA (SSD))
232GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB (SATA (SSD)) 31 °C

Thank you for the help :)

The spec list is confusing and inaccurate. You simply list some Skylake i7 CPU, but just a GHz, and I don't think there are any Skylake i7s that are 2.5 GHz. You then provide a motherboard that could never run a Skylake CPU.

In addition, there's no information given about RAM other than amount, nothing about PSU, no indication of whether this is a new install or an old one slapped onto new hardware (if there is new hardware).

Tightening up this list so that we know the basic facts is the first thing to do.

This is a new build with the new parts including the GPU, Motherboard, PSU, and CPU put into a new Deepcool Matrexx 55 Full Tower Case, the only things kept the same was the RAM
