Question Upgraded cpu and swapped motherboard out, pc won’t boot

Hey so I’m new to pc building/upgrading but I upgraded my cpu from a Ryzen 3 2200G to a Ryzen 7 3700x.

I had to swap out the motherboard to install retention brackets for the Ryzen 7 as well. I had to order then separately because this was originally a prebuilt.

My motherboard is an Asrock A-320M HDV. When I press the button nothing happens. GPU and CPU cooler do have lights on them however my Corsair vengeance rgb ram does not. (Not sure if it’s supposed to while off)

I put this in systems because I did more than replace cpu. Help is appreciated thanks!

You need the proper BIOS in order to boot that CPU. Reinstall the old CPU(and cooler), update to the latest BIOS, then swap the new CPU back.

It doesn’t seem to power on with the old cpu and power supply now. Did I do something wrong

What do you mean CPU and cooler* ?? The new cooler should work with the old CPU, Make sure if there is a plate under the board it is installed correctly an not touching metal traces.
