Question Upgraded cpu and updated bios but pc wont display

I have a Lenovo legion t530-28apr prebuilt with a 3400g cpu

I updated my bios to the latest version and switched my cpu to a 5600x but when I plugged my pc back in it just immidiately starts up without hitting the power button but it wont display

Pls help

After you've made sure your BIOS was flashed to the latest version, did you clear the CMOS? In order to do the latter, you will need to disconnect from the wall and display, then remove the CMOS battery, then press and hold down the power button for 30secs to drain any residual power. Once done, replace the CMOS battery after 30mins. See if that helps.

Might want to read through this reddit. Reason I say that is due to the fact that sometimes, prebuilt motherboard makers tend to limit what you can drop onto the motherboard.

If you're looking at a new motherboard to get the Ryzen 5600xx to work, then you've got one foot through the door in terms of a new build.

So there aint any bios update that Will make it compatible?

No. Just because it fits in the socket does not make it compatible. Always check with the manufacturer first.

No. You should have checked before even trying.

Who, specifically, did you talk to? The help desk is most often the least likely to know anything that specific about any of the product line. If it's not listed as compatible on the product page then it's not compatible.
