I recently upgraded my PC which was about 3-4 years old, I swapped out the motherboard to a Asus b150 pro gaming aura, Gigabyte 1070 G1 Gaming, 16 Gb Corsair 2400 DDr 4 Ram, and a sumsung 240gb ssd. But I'm still getting lag while playing games, even fifa16 on high.
What's wrong with my pc?

If lowering your graphical settings improves your framerates, your video card is the limiting factor. If you still get the same dips (they go just as low) even with lower graphical settings, your CPU is the limiting factor.

If your GPU is the limiting factor, you can simply lower graphics a bit and get the framerates you're looking for.

Oops, sorry I meant a drop in frame rate. for games like BF1 and sometimes even for overwatch.

What framerate are you getting and what do you want it to be?

Many people are reporting i5's simply aren't enough to stay above 60fps in Battlefield and a handful of other titles. I've been recommending people consider the i7 6700 for a while now, for this reason.

On ultra, I get about 50-60, On low about 70-90 on medium I get about 60, but at times it drops down to 30-40. which is the thing that bugs me.
