Hello everyone,

I recently upgraded from Gigabyte GTX 760 to MSI GTX 1050 TI but i when plug my new video card i cannot seem to get any output signal, i have tried both with a DP and HDMI connection.

This is my old VC : https://www.gigabyte.com/bg/Graphics-Card/GV-N760OC-2GD-rev-20/sp#sp

And this is my new one: https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1050-Ti-4GT-OC/Specification

And this is my motherboard: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-B75-D3V-rev-10#ov

Is there something that i missed, maybe some kind of compatibility?

Older motherboards can have issues running newer generations of video cards. After the BIOS update if it would have worked it should have. Did you try on both of the PCIe...
Then maybe give it a shot ? If the card still doesn't work, then we need to troubleshoot this problem.

I had similar problem some months ago.
I had to put the new GPU in the slot, uninstall ALL the previous graphics (display) drivers from the Device Manager, using a display cable from the motherboard (not from the GPU),
after this I installed the latest possible driver for my gtx 1050 (similar, but ofc, minor to yours).
And after some restarting with meanwhile plugging the display cable from the GPU, it worked just fine. (and removing the mobo-display cable after the driver install).
Also the monitor needed some settings, to change source of signal, etc.

My 2nd PCIE slot is broken, i broke it a couple of years ago, so i currently have only 1 which works completely fine for my 760.

I removed all the drivers using Guru3D, but the issue persisted.

Unfortunately my monitor does not have DVI / VGA slots, and i would have to buy VGA/DVI adapter to HDMI/ DP.

I will go over to a friend and test it on his motherboard which is newer and i will update the thread, i suppose if it works on his machine its because my MB is outdated.

Update: I just got back from my friends house, when we inserted the 1050 in his motherboard it booted and everything was working fine.

He had a GTX 1700 TI which did not boot up on my motherboard as well.

So it looks like my motherboard is too old for the 1050 vc that i bought and i will need to change my MB since the video card is working perfectly fine on my friends MB.

Thank you all for the help i will order a new motherboard on Monday!
