Upgraded GPU, 2d quality not as good as onboard?

I recently upgrade my Lenovo K230 with a Nvidia 9800 gt w/ 1 gig DDR3. And yes, I upgraded the psu and tossed out the 280w one that came with it.

The stock onboard graphics is a Intel GMA 3100

And, I have to say the 2d performance on Youtube and Hulu was better than what I'm getting with the Nvidia 9800 gt. I tried the beta Flash 10.1 install, but noticed no improvement.

Are there tweaks I can make to the Nvidia control panel to help this?

I don't see any reason for that
9800 gt should perform great
check your drivers
