Recently I bought a Asus turbo GTX 1060 6GB as an upgrade from my EVGA GTX 550Ti , i put the new GPU into the pcie slot where my 550 was , power up my machine and all I get is a black screen , no logo , no beep , nothing , just a black screen , the monitor says there's a signal but there's nothing . I'm.using the HDMI port .

My machine specs are

Asus M5A99FX pro R2.0 mother board
Phenom ii x6 1045t
8 GB RAM
Ultra 650 W power supply .

Any one have any thoughts as to why the new GPU wouldn't work ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Solution
First, replace that power supply, it's cheap and should not be used to run a good video card.

All power to the card connected? Check for a newer BIOS?

The psu is fine, no need for PC master race proposal. Just needed a solution to getting the card to run.

If you read the post you would see that yes the card had power to it. The monitor was detecting a signal from card which would only happen if it was powered. Long story short found the solution, BIOS update fixed it. Works beautiful now .

Thanks for suggesting the bios .
