Upgraded GPU vs my motherboard?

Hello everyone.
I decided to upgrade GPU, however I spotted something.
My motherboard is Acer Aspire X3995 that has PCI-e 2.0.
However, the graphic card which i want to buy supports 3.0 (r9 360), and I'm comfused if I have to upgrade my motherboard first. Would GPU fit phisycally and give similar results as if i had 3.0 slot?

You have a lot more issues than the PCIe revision or the motherboard. Did you check if your power supply can run the card? That the case will fit it? That is a lower end general use system, it's not made to be upgraded with a gaming video card.

Yes, I have 700w power supply with 2x6 pins and 2x2 pins which can join as 8 i guess, the case was changed too so it should fit the gpu, currently i have ati 5750 and there's still plenty of room left.
