I got a biostar ta970 5.3 and to replace my old board, when I installed it and got everything plugged in and went to go start the computer and nothing happens, no lights fans don't spin nothing happens, I went to check front panel connectors and it looks right and everything is plug nice and secure and everything looks fine. I go to try it again and nothing happens at all once more. I'm pretty sure PSU working fine because, before I changed motherboard this morning it was working fine. I also have no internal speaker.

Thanks in advance..

The fact no fans spin and no lights come on means there is a problem with the power supply or power connections to your motherboard. I'd reseat the 24pin main power connector to the motherboard and then reseat the CPU power connector. You are sure the switch on the back of the power supply wasn't switched off during the change or the power cable became loose?

Also if you are are using a system builder or OEM copy of Windows those are married to the motherboard. So you'll have to get a new O/S unless you bought the retail version.

When I inintally did it, the power supply was switched off, and when I first tried to reseat the 24pin and 4pin cpu power the PSU was switched on.

I have tried everything I can think of.

The System speaker is very important. This is what gives us the beep codes. Those codes may be the only clue as to what is really going on here. There are other steps after 23, but they REQUIRE the system speaker in order to be effective.
