Question Upgraded my cpu and pc isnt booting anymore.

I upgraded my cpu from a i5 9600k to a i9 9900k on my asus z390 e gaming motherboard. I can't boot into iwndows anymore as one time it blue screened to machine check error and after those times its just stuck on the asus loading screen. help!

I can go into bios though and my system recognizes the new cpu

um what do you mean? wipe my drives? and reinstall windows? i cant do that i have like 2 terrabytes of data

Didn't you backup your data before the upgrade?
You could reset the CMOS then try to boot (check the boot order in bios after)

You could also upgrade the bios to the latest version maybe that would help

I reinstalled my i5 and it works now so i dont know why its not working with the i9

and for some reason my case fan rgbs are not working anymore.

fresh install win 10 on a small ssd , (i have a 60 GB ssd from 8 years ago) , then access your files and back up when you installed windwos.

I only have a 1tb ssd with like 8 games on it can I do it on that one?
