Upgraded my PC not a huge performance increase

I recently upgraded my PC and I was really happy to see the frame rate boosts in some of my games but there hasn't really been that much of a difference. I think it's due to my video card because it still is pretty old but it's not that bad of a card still.

My specs are:

CPU: i5 6600k
MOBO: ASUS Z170 A
RAM: 16 GB RIPJAWS
VIDEO: Zotac GTX 760

Before the upgrade I was running a FX 4300 and 8 GB of RAM and I average around 40 to 50 ish frames on high in GTA V but now I get a solid 60 but with MASSIVE drops outside of the city. I tried Fallout 4 and that runs better but there still is some really bad drops.

Any information would be helpful.

I just resumed with the old copy of windows I had and just installed the drivers from there. I also have a 700w CoolerMaster. I don't know the specific PSU though

I would strongly suggest you to install a new copy of Windows and install all drivres and chipsets for the new hardware. You could still be having some old drivers from the previous motherboard and that might be causing the drops in fps.

Alright, do you know how to do a fresh install? I don't have a windows 10 disc if I format my hard drive would I just go into the settings and do the reset from there?
