Just upgraded my PC, here are the specs:

FX 8320 CPU (stock clock)
ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0
NZXT Kraken X61 cooler
2x120gb PNY ssd's (originally had one that has OS on it, bought another for RAID 0 but haven't done that yet)
1TB WD Blue
R9 280x Sapphire Vapor-X
Seasonic X-Series 650w 80+ Gold Fully Modular PSU

I put in all of the components and everything turns on fine, but I get two LED's on the motherboard when it fails to post: the first is the "vga device" led and the second is the "boot disc" led. Any thoughts as to issues? I'm planning on disassembling everything later tonight (save the CPU and cooler) and re-installing it in the hopes I just plugged something in wrong.

Please note that I purchased the graphics card and power supply a couple of months ago and tested both of them on my older desktop and they worked perfectly, so I don't think it's an issue of wattage. I thought maybe I had too many things attached to one SATA power cable? Thoughts/advice appreciated. Thank you!

Did you check and see if the Ram is compatible? I had a problem earlier this week similar to this when I tried adding too much ram. Also does your PC have the latest BIOS available for it? If those things do not fix the problem try removing the disc and hardrive and see if it posts when you boot it. But before that you should try clearing CMOS.

Doesn't seem like that'd be a problem my GPU recommended 650+ but it works fine on a 430 watt.

The ram is fine, I've been using the same kit for a year now with the same motherboard (bios is up to date). Will try CMOS though.

Wattage isn't the issue as I clarified above, the card works with the PSU fine.

Have you double checked recommended ram slots in motherboard manual? Also try and install 1 ram stick and boot. If it does post I recommend going to bios and reset factory settings and then installing the rest of ram kit. Had an issue similar to this.
