ive updated AMD drivers

thanks

Solution

Not always. Newer cards (last 4 years or so) will reduce power and run at a slower clock speed to avoid a crash.
nvidia cards will usually pop up a message when this happens, not sure about AMD tho.

But yeah, need to check gpu and cpu usage too. Also temperatures.

edit: err yeah, lets rule out your using the onboard gfx. Your monitor should be plugged into the card, not the motherboard.

Your problem is you went from AMD to Intel... Big mistake.

Have you updated drivers?

thanks for the helpful replies ill check that out and get back to you .. oh and its a completely new computer i should have said that :p

I like to use MSI Afterburner to check gpu usage. It shows the GPU temp, fan speed, and GPU usage. It basically allows you to monitor everything you need to know.
Also, Lee-m brought up a very good point. If you used an OEM version of Windows, you need a new OS after changing motherboards. Since you switched from an AMD platform to an Intel platform, you have to buy a new OS.

buy a new os ? he just needs a clean install, and has now stated that what he has. Any issues with OEM versions of windows would just result in failed activation not bad performance.

A full system spec would help, including psu.
