Upgraded the CPU on my home-built system. Now it only boots once every 10 tries or so.

When it does boot, it does so perfectly and I can keep the computer on as long as I want with no issues at all. I can run furmark and prime95 without temperature problems. All of my hardware is detected by HWinfo.

The problem is that it only boots one out of every 10 tries or so. The other times, the fans will spin up, there will be power to all the components but the monitor will receive no signal and there will not be any windows start up sound.

I've tested with different GPUs so that rules out the GPU issues. I'm suspecting it's because my CMOS battery is dying. Does that seem plausible? What else could it be?
