Gigabyte Windforce GTX 1070
Motherboard 046MHW
16gb DDR3 ram
Chipset: P67 (1155 LGA)

Windows 10 64-bit

I went from a GTX 970 to GTX 1070 on my computer, and everything runs great. Only problem is now when I turn on my computer right after you boot up, I get this error "PXE-E01: PCI Vendor and Device IDs do not Match!, it does not seem to affect my computer at all, it's just annoying seeing that error everytime after booting pass my bios screen before Welcome Windows 10 screen.

I tried to google solutions for this error but nothing to do with my GPU it seems, but once I put my old GTX 970 back in, the error completly goes away. I went ahead and put my new GTX 1070 back in.....and error has returned again. I really hope someone can help me with this, is the new card bad or something?

NIC = Network Interface Card, it's the shorthand for a network connection. You say you use an ethernet cable. Try disabling the device that attaches to. More than likely this is a BIOS setting. Although, with Dell's the BIOS is heavily restricted.

Lastly, you said Network is disabled already... Do you mean Network boot?

Anyone ever find a fix for this? Just upgraded to a new ASUS 1070 yesterday and I get the "PCI Vendor and Device ID Do Not Match" Error. Seems like many people with the Aurora R3 have this problem.

Update motherboard BIOS if you're getting the specific error: "PXE-E01: PCI Vendor and Device IDs do not match!"

As I've said previously it is a problem with an ethernet NIC or the BIOS on the motherboard. This was a problem a while back with GTX 900-series cards and it required a BIOS update. Hopefully Dell released the patch to BIOS for it.

Just upgraded to a Asus Strix GTX 1080 and seeing the pci vendor and device ids do not match message on boot up also. Asus Crosshair V Formula w/bios 1703, FX 8370. PXE setting in bios enabled/disabled makes absolutely no difference. Vendor undefined in gpu-z. Reflashed bios...message still there. Not having any performance issues though.
