Hello all,

I am a flight simmer (Lockheed Martin Prepar3d to be exact) and have been experiencing computer freezes and subsequent crashes ever since I (finally) updated to Windows 10 a few days ago. First off, here are my basic specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz

MOBO: MSI MS-7A59 (Z270 SLI)

RAM: 16 GB

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti

OS: Windows 10 64-bit

Audio 1 Sound Device: Realtek High Definition Audio

Driver6.0.1.8581

Audio 2 Sound Device: NVIDIA High Definition Audio

Driver1.3.38.26

Audio 3 Sound Device: NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) Driver

Anyways, I'm certain it's not related to the simulator itself. The crash seems to be time based... it crashes after a certain amount of time flying on the sim. I have looked into fixes for this DPC_Watchdog_Violation and have tried just about everything in the book. I got a Driver manager that installed new drivers for everything it saw as out of date.. Did chkdsk, SATA AHCI controller driver update, and even a system reformat... Still, the problem persists. I am at a loss.

Here are the crash dump files for your perusal if it helps:

Thanks for your time!

First, when is the last time you cleaned the inside of your PC from accumulated dust? Especially check the CPU heatsink and PSU intake. Also, do you have the most recent BIOS? https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z270-SLI.html BTW driver managers can cause troubles themselves by installing incapable drivers. Check the driver section of the MB link, that you have the correct and up to date drivers.
Update: Seemed to have fixed it by flashing my BIOS to the latest and greatest.

Thank you!
