Question Upgrading a 1080 with after market air cooler to a 1080ti?

I've had this card for a while, its a MSI Aero with Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme III, it performs great at 2050 core and 5555 on memory overclock.

I can get a very good deal on a used 1080ti and after selling mine it would be a minor investment.

I don't need RTX. I run a 1440p 144Hz monitor, so I need all the frames.

CPU: 3700x on x570 chipset.
PSU: Cooler Master 650W Bronze
Should I try it?

G650M. Just over a year old.

I was also contemplating on spending barely anything and get 5700xt. I expect it be some what similar to my 1080, but it will be new.
