I want to upgrade my CPU from a Intel Celeron 1000M with an Intel i5 3380M, can anyone help with this, i'm not doing it myself but I want to know if it is possible and any risk.
You probably can't do this because the Celeron 1000M would fit in a different CPU socket than the i5-3380M. You need to find out the socket your CPU fits in and purchase a CPU that also fits in the same motherboard socket.

The job of the op is to supply sufficient details so that we may give a solution. The info he gave was sufficient for me to give a solution so he did his job. Him stating they have the same tjunction tells me that he might not even know what bga and pga is so I won't even ask. Not unless they want to learn will I make them do any extra searching. I'll keep it simple and just give a solution.
