Hi everyone. I was hoping if someone can confirm that may laptop can be upgraded with a better prosser and ram.
My laptop is a Sony vaio e serise laptop from 2012.
Model number: sve14a15fdh

Oh I see so u can upgrade the cpu and ram ok but for the cpu does my cpu have to be 35 wat like the stock cpu or can be higher or will that destroy the board and cpu due to heat or power consumption. Also does more cores matter or does higher clock speeds matter. By that my computer is not a ultra book and the cpu and ram is not integrated into the th laptop. And I want to use my laptop for designing work such ldd sketchup and autocad as well as use it for work usage and playing games as well so basically I want it to be a all around type of machine.

Alrite I will belive on that but I personally don't want to buy another laptop for the some price as upgrading my old laptop. I seen people on the Internet upgrading laptops with better cpus and ram so I figured it would be easy enough to do with no problems but I guess u do make a valid point on the motherboard or the computer not knowing the cpu as well thanks for your advice on this.

Ok then what cpu would u recommend I'm using a i5 3210m cpu right now in my laptop and 6 gigs of ram. The ram I want to upgrade the 2 gig stick in there to 4 so I have 8. Any recommendations.

But how do I put all of my stuff on my had to my add and wouldn't a add have errors I'm mean I would only want to use it for the os and some application that I always use for doing work plus my hard drive 640 gb and I only used 300 so it is pretty good at read and wrote speed tell it becomes overfilled with juck. See I wanted to upgrade my cpu because my current cpu the i5 3210m cpu sometimes fails when over 3.0 and the ram is so slow for holding temp memory. But do like the i7 3540m cpu

I have a 4gig and a 2gig in there already I want to change out the 2 gig to a 4gig let. I actually don't want to change the hdd to a sdd I already have a external 1 terabyte hdd for fast storage and transfere rates

I understand that but I don't think your going to find a noticeable difference in speed of the system by doing a CPU and 2 gb of RAM upgrade. The SSD will make the whole system feel a lot faster.
