Upgrading a motherboard

I am planing on upgrading my current motherboard, so I would like to know if I have to reinstall new drivers or if it is just a plug and play sort of thing.

Need to min to reinstall new drivers. and might require a fresh install of the OS.

From what to what, in many cases it is recommended to reinstalled Windows but it depends on what you are swapping to and from.
