Hi I was wondering if I could upgrade my Gateway DX4885-UR2D PC. I'm upgrading it primarily for gaming here are some of the specs/features

Windows 8.1 64-bit

Intel core i5 4440

10gb DDR3 memory HDD
1tb hardrive

Intel HD graphics

DVD super multi drive video

So could anyone please help me out with which parts I should get to upgrade it for gaming. I will be playing high end games and would like to play it at high or ultra settings please and thank you

That's not bad. You could just buy a nice GPU (aka video card) and get some pretty nice gaming out of it. Although I can almost guarantee you will need to upgrade your PSU (power supply unit) as the one that most factory rigs like that come with cheap 300 watt units.

What type of hard drive does it have? A traditional hard drive, or an SSD (solid state drive)?

How much are you looking to spend? I would suggest getting a GTX 970 as it is really the best bang for your buck, and would last you a few years playing games on ultra settings.
