Upgrading a pentium 4

Hello guys...
I have a pentium 4 pc.Its configuration are
Intel pentium 4 Cpu 2.40 ghz
rAm 1.25 gb
32 bit
windows 7 service pack 1

these are my configuration u can check it from pics and i need a graphic card for it and by the way it's not compaq
 
Solution
You couldn't upgrade to much more because of that motherboard socket and RAM. I would go with buying new RAM (2 x 4 GB here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231445) first, then we could talk about upgrading other parts. Also, get 64 bit OS to take advantage of that RAM.

He probably wants to game on it. A 520 W PSU is in case he ever wants to upgrade (I put a Z97 board in there for a reason ;)) He says $600, so no wasted money here.
