Approximate Purchase Date: Next few weeks.

Budget Range: Want to keep it under 300

System Usage from Most to Least Important:

Gaming
Movies
The rest

Are you buying a monitor: Nope

Parts to Upgrade: Motherboard/CPU/Memory <---1 of those

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Amazon, Tiger direct ect.

Location: Schertz, TX

Parts Preferences: Intel processors are far too expensive, ridiculously.

So, maybe an AMD 8320 or 8350 coupled with MB upgrade.

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe eventually

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080,

Additional Comments: I want to try and upgrade the weakest component. Which piece is dragging my system down the most? I have a sneaking suspicion that it is my CPU (AMD FX-4100)

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I'm getting severe FPS drops playing watchdogs, LOL, and game crashing lag spikes in both. The gaphic setting don't really matter, FPS drops occur randomly in both.

I recently purchased GTA V and I'm hoping to optimize my system a bit for a better experience.

Here are my specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium (64 Bit)
FX-4100 Quad Core 3.6 GHz
GeForce GTX 760
8GB DDR3 SDRAM PC3-14933
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB

Solution
just get a new cpu thats all you need. the 8350 is a really good cpu. make sure your mobo is compatible to run crossfire sli otherwise you will bottle neck like me 😀

Edit

Also more ram would really help for games like watch dogs and what not ヽ(*・ω・)ノ
