Upgrading an HP Envy 750-524

I have an HP Envy 750-524. I have a new power supply a Corsair CX750M. The HP power supply uses a slim line DVD player using a slim line SATA data cable. The Corsair does not have this. Are there adapter cables? OR I could just use an external drive.

The HP Envy has a 128 SSD. The Corsair has connectors for a SATA hard drive. Does the SSD and SATA take the same cables and power.

I'm putting in a new graphics card, a GTX 650 and want to put in a larger SSD. I already have the 750W power supply and GTX650 card. I don't need to buy them.

The SSD will be powered off the same SATA cable
