Question Upgrading an old PC

A friend of mine has a HP prebuilt PC with a Foxconn G41 motherboard and 2x2GB DDR3 modules (checked with CPU-Z).

I would like to upgrade it with an SSD and 2x4GB DDR3 modules.

Now my question is: will I have troubles at installing Windows7 Home Premium on it? He has the license for that one and I am afraid it won't recognize the SSD.

Windows 7 will work with an SSD.
