Upgrading and Arma 3

Hey everybody just a quick question about these two specs for my new pc and how itll do with ARMA 3.... Im upgrading to an intel i7 4790k and a GTX 970 4gb and id like to know how well these two work together in standards to playing arma 3 if anybody knows or what they think

The GTX 970 is great, but you don't need a 4790K to run ARMA3. The i5 4690K has exactly the same gaming performance. Save yourself some money and get the i5.

The i5 will serve all your needs. No amount of enthusiast hardware can iron out poor optimisation. You'll still run the game really well with a GTX 970.

grab a i5 4690k, z97/87 motherboard and a decent cooler and overclock it a bit to around 4.2+ghz if you can. you will have no issues if you play on good servers, and the game is not unoptimized, it runs very very well for everything that needs to be done all at once, its just bad servers that are overloaded with crappy scripts that perform terrible, for instance lets look at codefourgaming's wasteland server with 70 people constantly, i can be from 75-95fps with a similar setup that you want(4670 OC and G1 970) and yet i can go on some ai missions with 40 people or less and struggle to stay above 35fps with frame dips. heck asylum with 100 people runs fantastic. make sense or was i just rambling?
