When I saw the title of this article I was actually happy to see it as I have a SFF case with a special CPU heatsink to fit in the confined case.

Issue is the old motherboard died couple years ago and I wanted to replace the guts of the system around a <~75w AMD CPU (heatsink is designed for AM2 or AM3). Only I have had trouble figuring out what new sockets will still work with that heatsink in order to get a lower priced m-atx mobo and CPU.

The article instead seems to have nothing at all to do with repairing or upgrading and seems the book has more to do about explaining all processor specifications (is referencing 8086 or 8088's really appropriate in a repair guide in 2013?)
