Hey, I'm going to be upgrading my pc soon and I mainly play games so I'm not too sure what to upgrade first. I'm looking to upgrade to a i5-4690 (non-k version), Gigabyte Z97P-D3 Intel LGA1150 Z97 ATX Motherboard and a GTX 970

-Amd FX-6300
-Asus M5A78L LE
-Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz
-GTX 650
-950W psu

Solution

You will notice some bottleneck but much less than you would if you got a new CPU with that GTX 650. Get the 970 now and in a year or so upgrade your CPU/Mobo to Kaby Lake or Zen

Okay then I'll get the graphics card, thanks for the help :)

thre GPU is your best choice, gtx 970 is a lot better than gtx 650, you will note that difference, i do not recomend you change your cpu for th ei5, keep the amd cpu, is a good processor, if you are gonne to change, buy a Core i7 4770,
