[SOLVED] Upgrading CPU on HP Prodesk 600 G1

Hello,

I’m going to be buying a motherboard for a build and don’t know if I should buy a Motherboard ripped from a prebuilt or not. I think I’m going to buy a motherboard from a HP Prodesk 600 g1 or 400 g1 but I don’t know if they will support the i5-4690 which I already own. Does anyone know if it supports that chip.

Supporting the processor is one thing, but you may have a bigger problem installing and powering such a motherboard.

Yep. Personally, I like geekbench:

And if you had a prodesk 600 g1, your cpu would work.
