Upgrading CPU Question

I currently own the 6 core 3.3 ghz amd cpu. When using CPU intensive applications/games the temp shoots up to as much as 67 C. I'm using the stock cooler and not OCing it.

My question is if I upgrade to the 8 core 4.0 ghz amd cpu will the temps drop since its not being pushed so much? im getting stuttering in games like planetside 2 and i just want to know if when i upgrade my CPU i will have to get a better cooler to keep the temps reasonable.(without OCing)

Your temps wont drop by virtue of having a new CPU no, for that you just need better cooling.
A Coolermaster 212 EVO is a very good budget heatsink.
