Upgrading CPU socket?

Hi guys!
I want to play/record/render games and video in 1080p 60fps
Basically my question is if my fps will increase in game and my video render time will become smaller if I get a different CPU socket.

Currently i have a AMD A10 (fm2 Quad Core 4.1)
In combination with a GTX 760 2GB OC

I hope somebody can help me!

yes if you get a new cpu and mobo it can get a lot better think more cores or more powerful cores

But how does that work?
I mean, I have a Quad Core 4.1 now but why is it better to have a higher socket.
I can get a better socket with lets say a i7 but that wont have as much ghz, so why does the socket still make it better?

when comparing say a i5 4690k to your a10 the amount of work the intel can get done in its cycle the amd version would have to be working at 150% to match quite simply it gets a lot more done in a shorter amount of time even with the lower frequency
