When I switched my CPU and motherboard for newer models, I decided to keep the RAM from my old PC (DDR3 1333) since it was compatible.

Should I invest and upgrade to DDR3 1600 or am I only going to get diminishing returns?

Thank you.

Waste of time seriously it's not worth it.

Well it all depends on what you do with your PC. Gaming doesn't really seem to benefit much from RAM speed as the graph above shows. However there are many other uses for a PC that are memory intensive and increased RAM speed will benefit.

Kind of like the APU's from AMD seem to like faster RAM where as my FX doesn't really seem to care at all lol.

As have I. In the hospital waiting for my son to be born. Killing time on the forums.

Congrats. I would suggest eating breakfast. My dad told me when I was younger if new the exact time I was going to be born, he would have ate breakfast.

Thank you, just got done eating breakfast actually. Quite a long process of inducing a baby. Kinda wish I had my rig, could definitely go for some BL Pre Sequel right about now.
