After seeing Nvidia's presentation, I decided that I'm going to upgrade my graphics card. The only thing is that I'm not sure if my current set up is sufficient. My CPU and Memory were upgraded last year, though I'm still not sure if it'll be enough. I've come on here each time I've upgraded my PC, and I can definitely use the help now. Thank you! Here are my specs:

CPU: i7 4790K
Motherboard: Z87 Extreme4
Memory: 16 GB DDR3
2TB HDD and 150GB SSD (Just for OS)
PSU: 650W
GPU: 980OC

I was gonna upgrade to a 2080ti, but, I waited all year for this presentation. based on my specs, I'm gonna guess that my safest bet is the 3070?

Well I would suggest waiting for 3rd party benchmarks but if you where aiming for 2080ti why not go for the 3080 or 3090?

16gb of ram is perfectly fine

If you are thinking about upgrading the cpu then you will have to upgrade your motherboard and ram but you will see a benefit from a cpu upgrade
