a few months ago i bought a ryzen 5 1600 and upon installing it into my computer refused to boot. The fans and lights came up but the monitor never came on. I put the ryzen 3 1300x back in and the system works fine. Any ideas?
The 1300X requires a later BIOS than the 1600, so it isn't a BIOS issue. If the 1300X still works and the 1600 doesn't have something obvious like broken, missing pins, I would suspect the 1600 is defective. Used?

update, im going to rma it if possible. If not im going to send it to someone to see if he can try a different mobo. If after that i still dont have anything... im just gonna get rid of it and get a new one.
