Hey to all, I am new to the scene and need some help. I just purchased an AMD Ryzen 7 2700 CPU to replace my Ryzen 5 1600. I am using an ASROCK B450M Pro4 mobo which is compatible with all (most) AM4 sockets. My question is how do I update my bios before installing the new CPU? Or do I need to update the bios before instillation? Thank you in advance!

Solution
I still have my Ryzen 5 installed. I'm wondering how to update the BIOS for the Ryzen 7 while I have the 5 installed.
You have a B450 motherboard which were made for the Ryzen 2000 release so it's a perfect match for your Ryzen 2700 as is. You shouldn't need a BIOS update to run with it, but once you have it installed a BIOS update is recommended anyway if you don't have the latest. Your manual should explain how to do it but pay attention to the instruction on the web site to be sure you get the right one.
