I have been upgraded my ram from 1x8 to 2x8 GB (they are the same, I also checked the number of the product) and when I turned on the pc the monitor was balck, no signal. I removed and put back the CMOS battery and it didnt change after all... I tried with 1 stick and it was the same result as before. I ran into this problem before when I had olny one stick, I dont know how but I resolved it by replugging the GPU's power cable

Mobo: ASUS Z170 Pro-Gaming
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB 2400 Mhz (2 of them)

Welcome to the forums!

We will need more information. Please list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

include the version of your OS and the age of your PSU. You might want to check and see that you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard. Also take note of which slots you're populating on the board with the two sticks of ram.

Can you use slots 1 and 3 or is your heatsink in the way? Try using both sticks independent from eachother to see if one is faulty and the other isn't if you haven't already. Your bios shouldn't need any updating to run a second identical stick to what you already have. Maybe you're not seating one or the other all the way in properly as well. Another thing to try would be testing each memory slot independently to see if one is bad.(slot 4 maybe?) Try slots 2&3 together?

Omg your a genius, thanks, its working 😀

Maybe slot 4 isnt working because I put back to slot 4 and it didnt work so I put back to slot 3. The other thing is that I went to the pc properties and it shows that I have 8 GB instead of 16

Try slot 4 solo? I don't know which suggestion I offered worked, but I'm glad to hear it worked.
If one of your slots doesn't work I would suggest returning it if you still can if you think you ever might use that slot.

Some tips:

You tried to use both of the ram after another in 1 slot and both work?

IF yes:
If you use 2 ram dimms -> only use both black or both grey slots. i recomment the grey ones called A2 and B2.

To do a cmos reset you have to short the cmos pins on this board:
Remove the power cable.
Press the Power button.
Remove the battery.
Short the 2 pins (CLRTC) with some metal like a screwdriver.

Add Battery
Add Power cable.

If you changed your ram configuration some PCs needed 1-7 tries to find compatible auto settings for the RAM depending on the Bios (the PC starts and stops multiple times without you getting a screen). Try to wait a little.

If you can use both ram alone, but it still wont work using both, you really should try an bios update https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_BIOS/
