Hi,

I bought myself a nice new monitor couple of months ago (DELL S2719DGF - 2K QHD, @155Hz) and I assembled myself a new PC 1 year ago with gtx 1060 6gb but I have a feeling that it's just too slow for that monitor and modern games.

my PC:
ASUS Z370-A
i5-8600k
G. Skill 16GB 3000MHz (2x8)
Antec HCG-750 gold modullar
Samsung 250gb 960 NVMe + 2tb Hitachi 7200 HDD
Asus GTX 1060 6GB Strix OC

I'm thinking of upgrading this GPU to:
https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-RTX2060S-O8G-GAMING/

suggestions? I think rtx 2060 super is the best price/performance (buck for value). Would you agree?

Thank you for suggestions

Solution
agreed, that would probably be better bank-for-buck than 2070 super right?
Once the aftermarket ones come out then yes. As-is those blower style ones run hot & loud and honestly I'd pay more for a much quieter GPU that stays well within the safe limit which is why originally I recommended the 2070S. Plus the cost of that model 2060S (Strix) are stupidly expensive and in most places come very close to the price of the 2070S.

The rtx 2060 will not be enough to run games at 155fps on 1440p. The rtx 2060 has similar performance to my 980 ti and it does not push high enough frames with the graphics settings turned up. For best value, the rx 5700 xt is the way to go. For nvidia's equivalent, get the 2070 super for ~$150 more.
