New system build:
NZXT N7 Flow (2022) case (the 2022 case has been replaced by the 2024, reviewers seem to prefer the 2022. I accidently ordered the two-tone white/black case, a can of Rustoleom fixed it_
MSI Pro B650-P Wifi motherboard
AMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D 4.2 Ghz Socket 5 120W CPU
Thermalright Phantom SPirit 120 EVO CPU AIr Cooler
EVGA Geforce GTX 1050ti (had to save money somewhere)
Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB SSD (primary for system)
Crucial P3 Plus 2 TB SSD (for apps, storage, etc)
2x SATA SSDs (old, tired unit for temporary storage)
4x Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM, Premium Quiet Slim Fan, 4-Pin (3 input, 1 exhaust
Be Quiet straight power 12 750W

Only running MSFS FSX casually, it live inside a metal shop so streaming games don't work (think 5G internet), I did the XBOS FS2024 trial and it was no-go.

Now that the new system is up and running I have a bit of GPU envy, wold like to keep it around $200 and under $300. Would it be worth upgrading from the 1050ti?

Prefer Amazon.

TIA

RX6600 is always a decent choice. A bit faster than a GTX 1080. ($200)
RX 6650XT is an option.
RX7600 is a little bit faster, and a bit more up to date. ($250)
B570 10GB from Intel is an option, double check game compatibility. That just came out.
B580 is a bit faster and gets the full 12GB, but hard to find in stock. Closer to $300 right now.
Also the older RTX 3060 12GB, still a decent card. $280
RTX 4060 right at $300 isn't bad either, but only an 8GB card compared to the new Intel parts.

You didn't list a power supply, verify that you have the PCIe power cables available for each of these cards before purchase.

Just one more question, if you don't mind sir, just one more.

Back in my day, OC was new and a quick way to fry your system, now I see almost all the cards are routinely listed as OC'd. Does it matter?

TIA

msfs can be vram heavy. so any new card would help from the 4gb you have (i have a 1050ti sitting around as a backup). i would say any card you can get with 10gb or more ram would be beneficial. nvidia 3060 12gb would be good or amd equivelent
