Upgrading GPU Help

I currently have a MSI Gaming X GTX 1080 and was wondering if my build is enough for a 1080 Ti. I play at 1440p most of the time
PC:
B350M Bazook Motherboard
Ryzen 5 2600
16GB DDR4 Ram @2400
650W Corsair TX 80+G

Will i see a significant increase from the 1080 to the 1080 Ti?

1080 should be fine for the next year at least and by then the 20xx series should be lower priced and that would be a better investment.

Significant in what way? My gpu is a step down from yours and I’ve never run across a game that didn’t stay above 60 at 1440p (other than Witcher III that drop to 55). I get 90-100fps in BF1.

Best to make sure your cpu isnt already hitting 100% utilization on any core before considering an upgrade. Then, try to find benchmarks comparing the two gpu’s.

Yeah it'll be a bit quicker but not enough to warrant the outlay IMO

Im really looking at upgrading the cpu to the i7-8700K and the gpu to the 1080 Ti. All other components considered, are they enough to be able to install the new cpu and gpu?

no, it also requires a new motherboard

I tend to avoid msi mobos

gigabyte gaming 5 or asrock pro4 are good choices
