Hello so I've decided to upgrade my CPU+GPU combo on my LGA 1150 socket motherboard instead of a new build and I was wondering if my current power supply, an Antec Earthwatts EA-650W would be sufficient, but seeing as this PW is around 4-5 years old already, would it be a good idea to also upgrade the PSU to a new 750w, or can this one handle the upgrade?

Solution
It's usually GPU that determines need for power, just switching CPUs is not gonna make any difference unless it's really at an edge power wise but then you would have more problems.

Ah, I see. Well I was actually getting the 4790k in hopes of possibly overclocking it to lessen the amount of bottleneck it would have on the 1080ti... And to be honest I'm upgrading my current setup to effectively game in 4k. I just didn't want to have to spend the extra $60-$100 for a PSU if my 650w is sufficient...
