Upgrading mb questions

Upgrading from a prebuilt h370 mb to a gigabyte z370. My windows is in my m.2 ssd so I shouldn’t have to worry about that part correct? And curious on the bios stuff looked online but haven’t found a good tutorial or much on google. Will I have to get into updating bios or anything like that? I figured since I had my os on the ssd it’d just be like replacing and should boot right up? Any info helps thank you!

nope, back up your important files before you swap or you will potentially lose them. you need to reinstall win 10 with new hardware. If you don't you will likely run into issues.

Ok so I need to backup my hard drive and the ssd? I can just put all that into a memory stick right? Slightly new to the building of pcs don’t really understand software stuff that we’ll. If there’s a tutorial you know of online maybe? I could probably just google it. I tried googling things to do when replacing motherboard and none of them gave me really anything like that cause I couldn’t find anything specific to what I’m doing.
