About a year ago i joined this forum. I had just built my first PC and was extremely cocky. I uploaded screenshots of my "overclock" on my fx6300. As a few pointed out, I was throttling my cpu badly with a software overclock. For those that saw that, I apologize for my previous ignorance. I am now running at 4.4ghz on my fx6300 at about 1.4v with a bios overclock this time(much to the information i gleaned from this forum)
Cinebench 11.5 score is 5.9
My current gpu is an EVGA 560ti 2gb Edition
I have been noticing lowered framerates in newer games and what better time to buy a gpu than black friday.
Quick system Specs:
Asrock 970 Extreme 3
Fx6300 @ 4.4 ghz
CM Hyper 212 evo
EVGA 560ti 2gb @ 970/2200mhz
Antec 650w PSU
16gb(4x4) Gskill 1600
WD 10k Rpm
I know my cpu isnt the greatest but it seems to be holding up fine for me at the moment. Can only afford to upgrade one at a time.
I am hoping to spend around $200 on a black friday sale. Current ideas are 670, 760, and 280x. Can not spend over $250 and would like to spend the least possible(while still getting the most performance i can)
None of these GPU's should be bottlenecked by my gpu on most games correct?
Thanks for reading! Any ideas appreciated.
