Upgrading my Computer

Solution
What are you doing with this build?
I'll assume it's not a gaming rig, despite the GTX1080. 😉
If the software you are using is mainly multicore and multithreaded then the Threadripper is top dog here, no doubt, the extra cores and threads put it quite a way ahead of even the big i9 7900X without the well known temperature and cooling issues surrounding it and which,, to a lesser extent, also afflict the i7 7820X.

If you're mainly gaming, stick with what you have, none of the other systems will be a significant improvement and consider other options-higher res, faster monitor, a GTX1080Ti, going SLI with the GTX1080 or even a dual display/widescreen setup.

EDIT: must....type...faster!

Well none of those upgrades is going to do to much if anything (some will even give negative performance gains).
A true upgrade would be a gtx 1080ti + 8700k. But just keep what you have now it's a beast system and the new 1100 series is supposed to launch in the next half year according to rumors.

I have two
Asus MG248QR
LG 25UM58-P
Also Fios Gigabyte speed

I'm upgrading to that when it comes out

None of those builds will be much, if any improvement over your current i7 7700K build:

Even for a pure gaming build, moving to an i7 8700K won't give too much of a boost, although the extra cores may help with some current AAA titles.
Me, I'd move to a larger 2K 144Hz IPS display, or maybe a large ultrawide display and wait until the next gen of Nvidia cards come out.

Assuming you're going to stay with one of those monitors (I'd personally choose to game on the LG, but I really like ultra-wide aspect ratio), then there's no real upgrade I can see you needing.
