You can upgrade to cpu without integrated graphics (if such option is available), but then you'll need to have discrete graphics card.

As long as the socket is the same and the chip is supported by your motherboard, you are good. Are you playing games? Intel has the best CPU for gaming, but the worst onboard graphics on the planet. I would pursue a new Coffeelake/GPU1070/80 setup. Or, if you find your have to replace your motherboard along with your new chip, which is a downfall of upgrading the Intel platform, I would change to an AMD/Ryzen setup.

You are not really asking the right question, would be better if you listed your components and what you want to upgrade it to, and why.

Chances are that anything you upgrade to will also support integrated graphics. Certain CPUs may not include integrated graphics support but generally speaking most people don't buy those.
