Question Upgrading my CPU

Hi there, I've been asking a lot of questions since im kinda new to pc gaming, but i was thinking about upgrading my cpu to the i5 7400 but instead i want to go a bit cheaper and go to the i3 8100 but does it work with my pc ? Here are the specs

GPU : Now i have the RX 560 (Im going to upgrade to the GTX 1060)
Motherboard : Asus H110m-K
CPU : Intel Pentium G4400
Case : Sharkoon VG4-W
PSU : CoolerMaster 400W
Memory : 8GB DDR4

Even if you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard, you're best(and highest option) is to go for the 7th gen Intel core i processors. You can't go for K suffix processors since you'll be unable to overclock.

Point to note, due to chipset limitations, you shouldn't pick rams higher than DDR4-2400MHz. Mind sharing the exact model for your PSU?

So an i3 8100 wont work and which i7 will be the best for my pc, i dont want a very expensive i7 ?
