Manish Tewari :
rbarnhart :
The only aspect that can impact performance for gaming is the change in gpu, everything else is negligible.
Wait for the next set of die and redesign shrinks next year. Otherwise, you are spending money for no noticeable change.
This coming year is an irregular tick-tock cycle and will outpace others. It may be the last big shift.
@ rbarnhart - buddy can you me some link or more detailthat explains your above statment , thanks in advance !
Cheers !
Here are some links.
Skylake Processors: DDR4 Ram, more PCI-e capability, Sata Express, more reasons, just read.

4GB vs More Ram for Gaming: The effect is greatest on load times and not FPS, but if you wait the benefit will be greater with DDR4 ram.

Which Processor i5 vs i7: Games do not currently use 8 cores through hyperthreading. So i5 is effectively as good as i7 for gaming alone.

As for video card you want Sapphire R9 290 Vapor X OC: better bang for buck versus gtx 770 hands down.

Your GTX 660 is then the only component that is lagging currently in a way that directly effects FPS. The r9 290 card will radically alter this and let you save up for other more critical cutting edge upgrades that will appear over the next year.
