hello everyone
I am upgrading my pc so that i can play games. Can you suggest me a good processor with good integrated graphics?
My specs are
i3 540
ram=2gb
motherboard: DH55PJ
psu:250w

Solution

okay i will tell you

I would just like to point out, that you cannot have a "gaming" computer with an integrated graphics card. You need to get a seperate dedicated GPU (graphics card). I agree with sincreator, where we need to see a budget as well as your current computer design.

If you have a big budget you can get the amazing GTX 970 graphics card which would let you run anything as well as the intel i5 4690k processor. These are $500 together.

If you are on a minor budget you can get a AMD FX-8350 and a GTX 760. This is $400

If you have very little money to spend you can get a Radeon 270 GPU with a AMD FX-6300 processor. This is $250

You can see how your budget affects a lot of things. If you don't want to send your build in, the options below are good for all budget builds, with the prices listed too! Hope this helped and ask me for a follow up if you want :)!

well thanx but i am from india and i dont know the dollars so can you tell me currency in rupees
And i prefer intel more than AMD so plz try for intel

well i am not trolling and really i am gona update
if you want i can give my specs through cpu-z

Sorry it was the way that you were answering questions that led me to believe that you were a troll. It is looking like you need a complete overhaul of your PC. The power supply, motherboard, CPU, Ram all have to be upgraded. Either that, or you need to get a larger power supply and grab a video card. A GTX750ti would be a decent fit for your current CPU. This will get you by for a little longer, but the next time it will be a complete rebuild of major components.

PS: You only have 2gb of ram as well, so maybe try getting a 4gb memory kit and shelving the other 2gb. I'm willing to bet that you are only running a 32bit OS, so any more than 4gb would be pointless since 32bit can only use 4gb.

It is fairly easy to look up an exchange rate for $ to rupees so you can just do that. I really do need to know your specs in this thread if you are not trolling to see your budget, as if you have a low budget, an intel processor is not really possible unless you sacrifice a lot.

He updated his original post with his specs. A better power supply and a GTX750ti should match the first gen i5 pretty well IMO. :)

i will get almost everything but first thing i want is processor.
I will get a PSU of 550w and probably updating my motherboard too.
I will upgrade my ram to 4 gb

will the processor support games like far cry 4?

Yes he definitely needs to do that. I also think he should upgrade to an AMD FX-6300 as it is around the same price but much better. I do not know why he is insistent on using intel as for budget builds there is no doubt AMD is the way to go.

If he is going to run farcry 4, he might actually need to upgrade to an AMD processor and maybe get an extra 2 gb of ram to make it 4 gb. That would only be another $20 and the psu should be around 400 by my estimate, maybe he can even squeeze in 350 to cover the budget of getting 4 gb ram if he decides to do that.

Still here for any follow up questions from the OP or counter thoughts to my opinions :)

EDIT: Sorry I did not see your posts about getting 4gb of ram. So that is good. I do not know much about motherboards so I do not have many insights about that. I definitely recommend an AMD FX-6300 or FX-8350 rather than an intel as they will run far cry 4 perfectly. Getting a psu of 550 might be overboard as you only need around 400 but whatever suits you best is best for you :)

I still agree with sincreator that a gtx 750 ti or even a 760 would be great for your system.

thanks
but i am thinking of going with I5 4440 and AMD R7-260X
Is that bad?

you'd be better off going with an AMD FX 8350 with a GTX 750 Ti.

GTX 750 Ti requires less power, and you have a weak GPU. The card also performs better in most games. The 260x only has about 5% better 3D marks.. that's it. With your set up, you shouldn't be worried about that very minor downfall.

This will cost you less and run great. It'd leave you money to get a PSU & more RAM.

The problem is that the AM3+ socket is dead, meaning no further upgrades. At least with the z97 boards they will support i3/i5/i7 from haswell, devils canyon, and the upcoming broadwell chips. To save money he could pair either the GTX750ti or the r7 260x with an i3 for now and upgrade to an i5/i7 when he needs to do so. There are far more options open for an Intel system right now over an AMD system. I just upgraded myself from a Phenom II x6 @ 4.0ghz, and the FX chips wouldn't of provided enough of an increase in performance to justify buying one. Intel was the only answer available so that's what I went with. I may of considered AMD IF there was a better upgrade path available. Sadly there isn't and won't be for a nice while yet, if at all. Intel is far ahead of the game now.

Not bad at all. The i5 4440 will handle that card easy, and will be able to handle any single GPU available right now without bottlenecking. So you should be good for a few years with it, and if you end up needing more power for some reason, you can always drop in an i7 later on. 😉

Solution

That's true.. future upgrading won't be possible. However, if he needs a budget fix to last him a year or two until he can afford Intel, this may be his best option.

He can grab an i3 and matching motherboard now for the same price as a motherboard and Fx 8350 chip though, and I hate to say it but, the i3 will win most of the time vs a FX 8350. Then when he needs it he can go i5/i7. What you suggest would be a waste of money. No offense intended. Check this out: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-processor-frame-rate-performance,3427-9.html (keep in mind that this is ivy bridge i3 as well, so a Haswell i3 will be 5-10% faster, widening the gap even further.

No offense taken. I'm still learning, and what you are saying makes sense.
