Upgrading my PC need help!

So basically I'm upgrading my pc I have a GT 430 and a [censored] dual core so I'm buying a new motherboard to fit a GTX 970 and a i5 but I don't know if replacing this new motherboard with my old one will the gtx 970 work or naa?

Well, GPUs tend to work in any modern motherboard - your PSU is the biggest issue. But if you don't mention what your new motherboard actually *is* it's hard to give any detailed assistance.

General issues:
Depending on motherboard you may just get away with an upgraded CPU.
Depending on what parts your system has and what you are purchasing you may also need RAM, DDR3 memory won't fit a DDR4 MB.
A upgraded power supply may be required.
Swapping the CPU and motherboard will, at the very least require a reactivation of Windows, if you have an OEM (builder) license it's likely you'll need to purchase a new licence-yet more expense-but this varies according to which Windows version you actually have.
