Hi everyone!
I've recently decided to refresh my PC, specifically CPU and GPU. I've read some good opinions about the i5-4460+GTX 1060 pair, and thought about getting that, but I'd like to ask if there are perhaps other pairs or suggestions at similar price. I know the upgrade will be a big one anyway, but I'd like to be content with the choice I make.

Edit:
My current PC:
CPU: Intel Core i3-4130
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti
MOBO: AsRock H81M
PSU: Corsair VS 450W
RAM: GOODRAM PLAY 2X4GB DDR3
CASE: Zalman Z3 Plus

Yes. There isn't a GREAT deal of performance difference between the 4570 and the 4690.

I've recommended that card on more than a few occasions.

FYI that's a non-k version so the heatsink/fan(aka CPU cooler) is included with thermal paste already applied. You pull off a thin plastic cover and it's ready to be...
If you already have a socket 1150 motherboard and are just looking for a better processor for that board, then the 4460 isn't bad. If you need to buy a new mobo, then I would probably go with Skylake and a socket 1151 mobo. But like I said, if you already have a socket 1150 mobo and are just looking for a better CPU, then the 4460 isn't bad, but you could always go with the 4670, 4670k, 4690, 4690k or an i7 to max out the performance. Granted I'm sure this upgrade is going to be determined by price, but go with the most powerful CPU that you can afford. As for the 1060, I've read good things about it and for 1080p gaming, the 1060 is the sweet spot.

Well, just wanted to let you know that the pair you mention is good. Right now there is a debate between RX 480 8GB and GTX 1060 6Gb. Don't know if you did your research, but as of now, the GTX is the clear winner. However, down the line, the RX 480 will most likely overtake it as DX12 will get more intertwined into games.

I have a GTX because it goes nice with my setup, and I'm just on the green side.

I've been extremely pleased with the performance of my 4690K i5. If I had the 4130 I would try and get the most powerful CPU that wouldn't waste my money. That would lead me to the 4690K. I then would look to the motherboard. I see AsRock H81M . That means the i5 4690(non-k) has to be my recommendation. If you had a Z97 board that is overclock friendly I would have chosen the 4690K. When I upgrade my GFX card(EVGA 970 FTW) I will choose the 1070. First I need to replace my 1080p TV that died a couple days ago🙁

Thanks for replies, the more sensitive part is the CPU. I found good offers on 4460, and I would opt for it as 4670 and 4690 seem a bit overkill for me, in both performance and price. Also, I found a 4570 a bit cheaper than 4460, do you think it's worth it?
As for GPU, i thought about the Gigabyte's Windforce 6GB GTX 1060, it looks really nice and got great reviews.

As a sidenote, do you think a 450W PSU will be enough?

The 1060 only recommends a 400W PSU. That corsair will power that card, and the rest of your system perfectly fine and has the necessary 6pin PCIe supplementary power cable.
